The Energy That Expands When Someone Holds Me… and When I Hold Myself

I’ve discovered that a hug is one of the most powerful medicines that exists. When someone embraces me, I feel my energy expand in a way that no words can fully describe. It’s as if my heart breathes wider, as if my soul feels seen and supported, as if the universe gently reminds me that I am not alone. A true embrace activates something deep within me: it awakens my light, softens my body, and brings my energy back into alignment. It’s a connection that goes far beyond physical touch; it is a meeting of souls.

There are moments when a hug arrives exactly when I need it. In those moments, I feel my chest open, my shoulders release, and my vibration rise. A hug is a bridge between presences, a transfer of calm, love, and pure energy. When someone holds me, I feel my field expand, my heart strengthen, and my essence shine more clearly. It is a sacred instant where vulnerability becomes a safe space and the soul finds rest.

At the same time, I’ve learned something profoundly beautiful: when there is no one beside me to hold me, I can hold myself. I can wrap my arms around my own body and feel that same energetic expansion. When I do, my spirit responds, my energy organizes itself, and my heart receives the message that I am here for me. That self-embrace is a declaration of love, an affirmation of presence, a reminder that my own company is a powerful refuge.

Hugging myself has become a sacred ritual. I do it when I need grounding, when I want to soothe my mind, when I wish to reconnect with my center. As I cross my arms and hold myself, I feel a soft pulse that reminds me of my strength, my sensitivity, and my ability to accompany myself through every cycle. It is an act of self-love that brings me back to the present and invites me to inhabit my body with calm.

Every hug—the one I receive and the one I offer to myself—teaches me something about who I am. It shows me that my energy expands when I allow love in, when I open to tenderness, when I give myself permission to feel. It also reminds me that connection begins within: my heart seeks companionship, but it also offers it; it seeks support, but it also supports; it seeks love, but it also generates it. The embrace is a mirror of the soul.

Living this experience has made me value the power of human touch. When I hug someone, I feel their energy resonate with mine and witness how a shared field of light is created. It is a mutual gift—whoever embraces also receives. This exchange is a vibrational dance that nourishes, elevates, and accompanies. In every authentic hug, there is a moment of unity, a moment where two souls meet in a space of pure love.

And the self-embrace reminds me that I am my home. That my energy expands when I hold myself with kindness and acceptance. That I can be the refuge I seek, the support I need, and the calm I long for. Hugging myself is an act of honoring my humanity, my sensitivity, and my journey.

Today, I celebrate the importance of a hug.

I celebrate the expansion I feel when someone holds me.

I celebrate the strength that rises when I hold myself.

I celebrate the way my energy responds with love to every moment of closeness, every connection, every touch of presence.
